First Cut (Pty) Ltd has been at the forefront of blade technology and now increasing their circular saw product range by partnering up with Kanefusa in Japan.
Kanefusa is Japan's largest manufacturer of high quality industrial tools used in the metalworking, industries. Their saw blades, cutters and machine knives are engineered to the highest industrial standards. Kanefusa continuously develop new products and cutting technology to achieve one goal: Higher User Value.
Kanefusas V-tech PCD Saw Blade, FM Cold Saw Technology and Advanced Material Technology coating on cutting edges are demonstrations of their innovative strength. Satisfied users all around the world testify to the reliability of their products.
Our FM (Ferro Max) Cold Saw Blades (single use) cut on average three times faster than a conventional band saw or metal saw, which means one machine can do the job of three . This means less energy is needed to power the machines. Less oil mist is in the air and less space is required.
FM Cold Saw Blade such as the Ferro Max Speed can outlast a conventional saw blade by up to 10 times. In the same period of time, the conventional saw blade must be reground 9 times- which produces a lot of sludge that requires costly disposal, and also means pickup and delivery 9 times. FM Cold Saw Blades also allow thinner kerf than resharpened types, which leads to a better material utilization and less swarf that must be either disposed of or recycled.
Because all Kanefusa FM Cold Saw Blades are manufactured in Kanefusa, the quality is immaculate; all blades provide a constant cut quality and durability, providing you with high excellence and reliability blade after blade, which is key to timeous and efficient production.
In August 1995, the new Technical Center for enhanced research and development activities was completed. In order to carry out intense research activities in areas of material science, cutting and grinding technology, state of the art equipment such as scanning electron microscopes (SEM), experimental furnaces, CNC-router machines, a moulder machine and various sawing machines are available to their dedicated engineers. This kind of technology allow Kanefusa to practice activities such as; Developing products with clear user value and testing of tooling in respect to performance, safety and function. Joint research, development and experimentation with users and machine builders. Research and development of cutting and grinding technologies and rapid prototyping.
